If there is not enough vitamin D in the body, the immune system will not turn on.
So you can protect yourself from getting the flu by using higher doses of vitamin D.
You can also use immune boosting herbs such as Canadian ginseng, astragalus and holy basil to protect yourself from the flu.
Foods such as garlic, fish, oats, mushrooms, barley and even black and green tea all boost your immune system.
In a 2003 Harvard study, people who drank 5 cups a day of black tea for 2 weeks had 10 times more virus-fighting interferon in their blood than others who drank a placebo hot drink.
So, eat, drink and be healthy!
